Finding the Groove

For a long time, this show was called Rhythms & Revelations.
And in many ways, that title made sense to me. The rhythms…the music, the movement, the patterns of a life lived onstage and off. The revelations…the moments that crack you open, surprise you, and ask you to look a little deeper.
But over time, I started to feel something shift.
I noticed people asking what the title meant. I could see them trying to understand it before they ever stepped into the room. And I realized something important: the show wasn’t meant to be figured out ahead of time. It was meant to be felt.
So I started asking myself a simpler question:
What is this really about?
The answer kept coming back the same way-quietly, insistently:
Show up.
Show up for yourself.
Show up for each other.
Show up for the moment you’re in, even when it’s uncomfortable, uncertain, or tender.
That’s what this show has always been about. The music. The stories. The movement. The pauses. The laughter. The vulnerability. It’s all an invitation to be present, to stop performing for a second and just arrive as you are.
Show Up felt clearer. More honest. Less abstract.
It doesn’t ask you to know anything before you come. It doesn’t promise answers. It simply asks you to step into the room and be there-with me, with the music, with yourself.
So if you’re wondering why you should come to the show, here’s the answer:
You don’t have to prepare. You don’t have to impress. You don’t have to be anything other than human.
Just show up.
I’ll do the same.
